Growing!

The boys are 7 months & 2 weeks old now! Their personalities are so BIG and they really are (for the most part) very happy babies. (MiMi might think otherwise after the fit they threw for her the other night at bedtime! ha! but, OVERALL, happy boys! We LOVE you MiMi!). A couple weeks ago, they weighed in at 18lbs10oz (August) and 18lbs5oz (Graham).

ABOUT AUGUST:

August has sprouted his first two teeth (front bottom) and is scooting all over the place. He gets up on all fours and rocks, but mostly gets around in a "wounded soldier" type of crawl – dragging one leg behind him and pulling himself along on his elbows and pushing with his other knee. He's quick! Don't turn your back on him even for a moment or he's going to be into something! Count on it! He's very curious. He wants to explore everything. He also said "dadadada..dadadada..dadaaa" last night. As soon as he makes the connection... it's on! He understands what we are saying to him a lot of the time already. He does not seem to require a whole lot of sleep, though he has successfully slept through the night a few times with only one feeding. He has a certain pitch he hits whenever he wants something immediate to happen. It will cause your ears to echo and ring and hurt. I'm pretty sure dogs in the next county are barking back at him. This seems louder when he's the most tired or believes his brother is getting more food or attention than him. I've often joked that he may think his name is "JESUS Gus!" (I'm working on not saying that so much, I am).

ABOUT GRAHAM:
Graham is the silliest, goofiest little boy ever! He is so happy to be here. Just look at him and he grins ear to ear with a huge wet drooly smile (usually a tongue will be sticking out at you too)!
He can sit on his own really well until distracted. He scoots around some (mostly in a circle) and is very content checking out the things around him. He's learned to make some funny noises with his fist and mouth and enjoys gnawing on just about anything in arms reach. He's our snuggle baby. He loves being held and loved on.

Both boys LOVE to eat! They enjoy pears, sweet potatoes, apples, peaches, green beans, squash, carrots, bananas and oatmeal. They can hold their bottles on their own, and have begun trying a sippy cup. I'm personally ready for finger foods because spoon feeding two "starving" boys is difficult! I can't seem to shovel it in fast enough!

ABOUT MADISON:
I am so proud of the person she has grown to become. She is sweet, considerate, fun and beautiful. A total package!! She is on the honor roll and is preparing for her first PROM this weekend. I don't know how she grew up so fast! Wasn't very long ago I was writing updates on how much she grew in the last month and now... she is about to turn 16!! She will be SWEET 16 next month, and legally old enough to drive! Where did the time go?! Who would have thought I would someday have two about to crawl, and one about to drive?! YIPES! Life is funny how it shifts and turns!

HAPPINESS.
